3ο φεστιβάλ ΣΑΡΔΑΜ: Η λογοτεχνία αλλιώς
02 – 04 ΟΚΤΩΒΡΙΟΥ 2015 / ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ – ΛΕΥΚΩΣΙΑ
Η συγγραφέας Μαρία Α. Ιωάννου και η ομάδα aRttitude φέρνουν για τρίτη χρονιά το κοινό πιο κοντά στη λογοτεχνία, μέσα από σύγχρονους τρόπους συγγραφής και ανάγνωσης, παρουσιάζοντας την κύρια εκδήλωση εναλλακτικών αναγνώσεων του Σαρδάμ σε Λεμεσό και Λευκωσία και πραγματοποιώντας την καθιερωμένη μέρα λογοτεχνικών εργαστηρίων στη Λεμεσό. Φέτος επιστρέφει στο φεστιβάλ ο βραβευμένος συγγραφέας Δημήτρης Τανούδης για ένα επιπρόσθετο λογοτεχνικό εργαστήρι και στη Λευκωσία.
Συγγραφείς από την Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό μοιράζονται πρωτότυπους τρόπους συγγραφής και ανάγνωσης, μέσα από ανατρεπτικές αναγνώσεις και εργαστήρια. Κοινό τους χαρακτηριστικό η ανάδειξη του προσωπικού χαρακτήρα της συγγραφής / ανάγνωσης και ο συνδυασμός της λογοτεχνίας με σύγχρονα και κλασικά μέσα έκφρασης όπως θέατρο, τεχνολογία, σύγχρονος χορός, μουσική / ήχος, slamming / spoken word κ.ά. Κάθε φεστιβάλ αποσκοπεί στο να παρουσιάζει κάθε χρόνο κάτι καινούργιο. Φέτος θα παρουσιαστεί για πρώτη φορά λογοτεχνική τεχνολογική/διαδραστική εγκατάσταση, καθώς και ηχητική ποίηση (Sound Poetry).

3rd SARDAM: alternative literary readings festival

The writer Maria A. Ioannou and the group aRttitude present the third edition of SARDAM: alternative literary readings festival, with readings and workshops by writers from Cyprus and abroad. The main event will be presented in two cities, Limassol and Nicosia, whereas one workshop will take place in Nicosia and two workshops in Limassol. Once again, SARDAM aims at bringing the audience closer to a more direct, unconventional enjoyment of literature, through innovative and unusual readings that combine literature with other forms of art like theatre, technology, Spoken word / Slamming, contemporary dance, music and so on. This year, for the first time, the audience will also enjoy Sound Poetry, as well as a literary technological/interactive installation.

GROUP ANTI-NARRATIVE (GREECE)
Yannis Adamis was born in 1975. He studied Law at the University of Athens and Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia. His work includes “Princeworks” (Oxy Publishing, 2006), “Terror plan” (Oxy Publishing, 2007) and “The devil within himself” (Topos Publishing, 2008). One of his sort stories was included in the anthology “The Greek short story of fantasy” (Aiolos publishing, 2012). He has published 15 books on his personal e-publishing website (dreamtigers.gr).
Christos Martinis was born in 1985 in Athens. He studied Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has an MA in Diplomatic History (A. U. Th.), an M2 in Public Law (Universite de Bordeaux 4 Montesquie) and an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia. He participated with an individual work at the ‘’Inspire’’ exhibition for young artists in the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and in the Museum of Contemporary Art Alex Mylona. He is a member of the Poetic Centre of Takis Sinοpoulos and his poetry work includes publications in poetry magazines and internet blogs.
Panos Papapanagiotou was born in 1985 in Thessaloniki, where he now lives. He is an Automation Engineer (Technical Institute of Thessaloniki) and holds an MA in Creative Writing (University of Western Macedonia). He writes short stories and poetry. His writings have been published in collections and literary journals, websites and blogs.
Ioanna Ntoula was born in 1981 in Athens, Greece. She studied Applied Mathematics and Physics (National Technical University of Athens) and holds an MSc in Finance (Athens University of Economics and Business) as well as an MA in Creative Writing (University of Western Macedonia). She has attended short story, novel, flash and social fiction workshops. She is mainly focused on the short story; her writing work has been published in an anthology – following a thematic writing competition – as well as in literary magazines and blogs.
Fragile Balloon is the stage name of Giorgos Kontogiannidis. His origins are from Edessa, a municipality of Pella. He studied Music Technology in Thessaloniki, where he lives. He has been composing his music mainly in an experimental-electronic style since 2007. He has worked on various aspects of the music scene. He was one of the founding members of the Coo team (Cooradio, Coorecords) and today is one of the founding members and columnist of the online music magazine “Breakaplate”. He is also running his own company in the field of “Prerecorded Media Reproduction”. “Lamprophonies” is his first album, released by the newly created “Numb Capsule Records».
ERNESTO ESTRELLA COZAR (SPAIN/USA)
Ernesto Estrella Cózar is a sound artist, poet, and educator born in Granada and living in New York and Berlin since 2000. He obtained his Ph. D. at Columbia University’s department of Spanish and Portuguese, and between 2007 and 2011 he was Assistant Professor of Hispanic Poetry at Yale University. As a scholar, he has published critical articles in prestigious journals, and has been invited to a number of international conferences, talks and workshops related to his field. While an educator at Yale, along with Latin American and Spanish literature, culture, and cinema curriculum classes, he crafted his courses Poetry Off the Page and Poetry of the Spanish Civil War. In addition to his university engagements, he regularly teaches workshops that interweave philosophy, politics, arts and ethics. One of them, called Reading the Poem as Present, was held in April 2011 at the Bowery Poetry Club as part of New York’s Spanish Consulate cultural program. A Spanish version of it took place at the Centro Cultural de España in both Buenos Aires and Montevideo in July 2011.
As a poet, Ernesto has been included in anthologies such as Cuadernos del abismo (2008) and El tejedor en… Nueva York (2011). His multimedia book Achronos, a collaboration with Berlin-based photographer Nyssos Vasilopoulos, appeared as part of CUNY’s Virtual Poetry Project, and his book Boca de Prosas (Mouth of Proses), a hybrid of prose poems and short stories, is currently in press. He is now working on a long poem-novel entitled Escuelade tu nombre (School of your Name), fragments of which have already appeared in poetry journals. As a sound artist, he has created a wide array of compositions, some of which have already been introduced into his poetic performances, Out of the Word, into the Sound (also existing as studio CD), and Opening the Poem, presented at international festivals in Argentina, Uruguay, Austria, Germany, Russia, Finland, Latvia and the U.S. His most recent collaboration occurred in a piece by Spanish composer Mauricio Sotelo, entitled “Cuerpos robados” (divided orchestra, violin and voice). It was premiered at the Klangspuren Festival of Contemporary Music, in Schaz-Tirol, and was performed in March 2012 in duet form with violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja at the “PraetoriusMusikpreis” in Hannover’s Schauspielhaus. As a musician, he has been writing and performing music with his experimental rock/jazz band, Hellhoundsound, of which he is founder, singer, and lyricist. He is also co-founder of the trio, MES, which focuses in creating strategies to move creatively between improvisation and composition.
ELENA HILETI (CY)
Η Έλενα Χειλέτη γεννήθηκε στη Λεμεσό. Σπούδασε Art&Design στο University of Central England και μετα Retail Design στο Central St Martins στο Λονδίνο. Προσέγγισε το ραδιόφωνο απο νεαρή ηλικία. Έχει μόνιμη συνεργασία με το Καναλι 6 απο το 2002. Το 2014 ολοκληρώνει τις σπουδές της στη δραματική σχολή του «Βλαδίμηρου Καυκαρίδη». Μέσω συναντήσεων δημιουργικής γραφής δομεί τους άλλοτε δειλούς συγγραφικούς πειραματισμούς της. Το διήγημά της «Καρότσι» παρουσιάζεται στη λογοτεχνική εκδήλωση – Δεν υπόσχομαι πως θα γυρίσω, τον Ιούλιο του 2015. Το περιοδικό λογοτεχνίας και προβληματισμού ΑΝΕΥ φιλοξενεί ποιήματά της στην έκδοση φθινόπωρο 2015.
ERINA CHARALAMBOUS (CY)
Η Έρινα Χαραλάμπους γεννήθηκε στην Πάφο το 1980. Σπούδασε Κλασικές Σπουδές και Συμβουλευτική-Ψυχοθεραπεία (MA). Ασχολήθηκε εκτενώς και ερασιτεχνικά με το θέατρο. Εξέδωσε την πολυμορφική νουβέλα Μ’ αγαπούς; (εκδόσεις Πολιτιστικού Συνδέσμου Πάνθεον, 2010) και επιμελήθηκε γλωσσικά την ποιητική συλλογή της Αυγής Λίλλη Πρόχειρες σημειώσεις πάνω σ’ ένα σωσίβιο (εκδόσεις Αρμίδα, 2011). Αρθρογραφεί, ευθυμογραφεί και παρουσιάζει (ελληνοκυπριακά κυρίως) βιβλία στον εγχώριο τύπο συστηματικά και με ψευδώνυμο. Ζει και εργάζεται στη Λευκωσία.
MARILENA ZACKHEOS (CY)
Η Μαριλένα Ζακχαίου είναι Διευθύντρια του Κυπριακού Κέντρου Διαπολιτισμικών Σπουδών και Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Κοινωνικών Επιστημών στο Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την μετα-αποικιακή λογοτεχνία και πολιτισμικές σπουδές, μελέτες διασποράς, λογοτεχνία νησιών στην αγγλική γλώσσα και σε μετάφραση, το φύλο και τη σεξουαλικότητα, την ψυχανάλυση και το τραύμα. Είναι επιμελήτρια μιας συλλογής για το ρόλο της εκπαίδευσης σε μια πολυπολιτισμική Κύπρο (αναμένεται το 2015 από το Cambridge Scholars Publishing) και μιας συλλογής δοκιμίων για ‘κακές’ γυναίκες με τίτλο Vile Women: Female Evil in Fact, Fiction, and Mythology (από το Inter-Disciplinary Press, Οξφόρδη, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, 2014). Είναι επίσης ενεργό μέλος του Literary Agency Cyprus, ομάδα που προωθεί τις αγγλόφωνες λογοτεχνίες της Κύπρου, καθώς και του Whirling Words, μια υπο-ομάδα του Literary Agency Cyprus για τις γυναίκες συγγραφείς που ζουν στην Κύπρο ή έχουν κάποια σύνδεση με το νησί. Η πρώτη της ποιητική συλλογή «Carmine Lullabies» αναμένεται το 2015.
CIA RINNE (SWEDEN/GERMANY) *Cia Rinne will be joining us live in SARDAM 2016 with a brand-new production. This year we will only enjoy her voice and the piece «Sound for Soloists», in cooperation with the group aRttitude
Cia Rinne (1973, Gothenburg) is a writer, poet and artist with an uncommon natural inclination towards languages. Born in Sweden from a Finnish family and raised in Germany, she holds a MA degree in Philosophy and has studied in Frankfurt/Main, Athens and Helsinki. Experiencing the continued switch between many languages and places helped her to raise awareness about the political and cultural implications lying down subtle gaps and shift of meanings. For her first book zaroum (Helsinki, 2001) Cia typewrote all the multilingual texts, intertwined with graphic elements like boxes, drawings, witty and ironic multiple-choice questions, conveying her interest in visual composition and crossing languages and genres. A publication with manifold visual and conceptual influences that ranges from Fluxus and Dada short compositions to Wittgensteinian language-games. Some years later the publication developed into the web-based project Archives Zaroum (2008), hosted by the Danish Platform Afsnit P and designed by Christian Yde Frostholm. Her second collection of poems Notes for soloists (OEI Editör, 2009) is marked by a more aural way of dealing with language. Working for seven years on the final publication, this acoustic feature has led her to experiment with the performativity of the text both in readings and collaborations with artists and sound designers. The partnership with Sebastian Eskildsen, sound designer at the Copenhagen Royal Theatre, gave birth to the sound work Sounds for soloists (2011-12). In collaboration with the photographer Joakim Eskildsen she undertook long journeys in Portugal, South Africa and throughout Eastern Europe that have led respectively to Blutide (Opus 33, Helsinki, 1997), iChickenMoon (Opus 38, Helsinki 1999) and The Roma Journeys (Steidl, Göttingen 2007-2009). She also took part in exhibitions including Terra Infirma (2010) at the ISCP New York, and the Turku Biennial (2011).
HAMILTON MONTEIRO – contemporary dancer
Ο Hamilton Monteiro γεννήθηκε στο Πράσινο Ακρωτήρι Αφρικής. Αποφοίτησε από την ΚΣΟΤ το 1996, και έχει συνεργαστεί με ομάδες χορού όπως Sine qua non, Ομάδα εδάφους και άλλες. Το 2001 έφυγε για τη Νέα Υόρκη με υποτροφία από το Ίδρυμα Αλέξανδρος Ωνάσης, όπου συνεργάστηκε με καλλιτέχνες όπως: Bill Young and Dancers, Terry Creach Company, Bill T Jones, Colleen Thomas, και άλλους. Εργάστηκε στη χορογραφική ομάδα των Τελετών Έναρξης και Λήξης Αθήνα 2004, ενώ από το 2004 μεχρι σήμερα έχει συνεργαστεί με τους «φυγείν αδύνατον»- Νατάσα Aρέθα, amorphy.gr– Τζένυ Αργυρίου, x–it Φώτης Νικολάου, Ομάδα Διάσταση, Ελδωρ Λίλα Ζαφειροπούλου, Alexandra Waierstall (Dusseldorf), καθώς και με την ΚΣΟΤ στο έργο Uprising του Hofesh Sechter, ομάδα ΑΕΛΙΟΝ. Έχει παρουσιάσει δική του δουλειά στο Μικρό φεστιβάλ χορού της Υδρας, στο Athens Video Dance project στο θέατρο του Νέου Κόσμου, στο Garage Performing Arts Center στην Κέρκυρα, στο θέατρο Rabbit Hole στο Μεταξουργείο, στο ΔΗΠΕΘΕ Πάτρας, στο Dance Days Chania, στο Dance Waves Festival Κύπρου και στη 14η και 15η Πλατφόρμα Χορού Κύπρου, ενώ τον Ιανουάριο του 2014 και τον Ιανουάριο του 2015 χορογράφησε δύο παραμύθια για την Ε.Θ.Α.Λ.
MARIANNA FLOROU (CY)
Η Μαριάννα Φλώρου γεννήθηκε στη Λεμεσό. Σπούδασε Χημεία στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών και Επικοινωνία στο Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Διακρίθηκε με έπαινο στον λογοτεχνικό διαγωνισμό του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών με το διήγημα Νυχτολούλουδο. Το 2011 κυκλοφόρησε το πρώτο της βιβλίο με τίτλο 7-Veni Vidi Vici, μια συλλογή διηγημάτων.
ANDREAS TSIAKOS (GREECE)
Ο Ανδρέας Τσιάκος γεννήθηκε το 1979 στο Άργος Αργολίδας. Έχει κυκλοφορήσει τις ποιητικές συλλογές Πόσα ποιήματα χωράει ο σάκος; το 2007 και Ασκήσεις αναπνοής το 2011 από τις εκδόσεις Χαραμάδα. Ποιήματά του έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε ιστοσελίδες και blog καθώς και στο ΑΛΜΑΝΑΚ ΠΟΙΕΙΝ 2010 στην κατηγορία νέοι ποιητές. Το 2008, πρωταγωνίστησε στη βραβευμένη με 4 βραβεία ταινία μεγάλου μήκους (σε Λονδίνο, Κροατία και Πολωνία) Breakdown reward σε σκηνοθεσία Ηλία Γρηγορόπουλου. Είναι ραδιοφωνικός παραγωγός στον σταθμό του Άργους Πυξίδα 101FM, παρουσιάζοντας νέους και παλιούς μουσικούς, ποιητές και σκιτσογράφους. Συμμετείχε στα συγκροτήματα ΜΑΡΙΑ ΝΕΦΕΛΗ και ΑΝΘΗ ΤΟΥ ΚΑΚΟΥ ως μουσικός, στιχουργός και ερμηνευτής. Ποιήματά του έχει μελοποιήσει ο Άρης Ζαρακάς (πρώην MAGIC DE SPELL, ACTIVE MEMBER, ΡΟΔΕΣ) και ο Δημήτρης Σπύρου (ACAPELLA SOLO LOOP).
DIMITRIS SPYROU – musician
Ο Δημήτρης Σπύρου γεννήθηκε στη Λεμεσό και άρχισε να πειραματίζεται από νεαρή ηλικία με τη μουσική, τη στιχογραφία και το θέατρο. Αναζητώντας την απλοποίηση της αντίληψης που έχει ο άνθρωπος για τους ήχους, τα αντικείμενα ως παράγωγα αυτών και τα δόγματα που περικλείουν τη μουσική έκφραση, η καλλιτεχνική του δημιουργία εστιάζει πάνω στη φωνή ως αυτόνομο μουσικό όργανο και συνοδεύεται από μια έρευνα πάνω στη χρήση καθημερινών αντικειμένων ως παράγωγα ήχου. Παράλληλα με τις παρουσιάσεις του με το προσωπικό του εγχείρημα acapella solo loop, συνθέτει μουσική για θεατρικές παραστάσεις, ενώ συμμετέχει στις περισσότερες και ως εκτελεστής/περφόρμερ.
TOBIAS KUNZE (GERMANY)
Tobias Kunze, born in 1981, is a performance poet from Hannover, North Germany, who organized his first poetry event in 2001 and started slamming in 2003. With his rap music act «BIG TUNE», founded in 1998, he toured through Belarus, Serbia and Poland. As solo poet, he won the «Rap Slam», part of the annual German Poetry Slam Championship, twice – in 2007 in Berlin and in 2008 in Zürich. Together with Dizzylez from Avignon, he won the European Slam Competition held in Berlin in 2009. He has been invited to poetry festivals and readings in Estonia, Finland, Russia, Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Austria. In Vienna in 2011, he won the Ernst Jandl Poetry Slam held in the Vienna City Museum. His shows are like a graffiti piece: wild, loud, colourful, chaotic but also striking. His approach to poetry and performance results in a variety of rhythmical verses, sound poetry, storytelling and rhymes. He can mix and combine freestyle rap elements with spontaneous impressions in a sprawling expressionistic show.
